Disable/Remove Windows Messenger from windows



How to Disable/Remove/Uninstall Windows Messenger
If you don’t like Windows Messenger, you can disable/remove Windows messenger completely with the following methods.

Easily Disable Windows Messenger:
First Go to: C:/Program Files



Then find Messenger folder


Rename the Messenger folder to "MessengerOFF".



You will then see a screen appear saying "Renaming moving or deleting ‘Messenger’ could make some programs not work. Are you sure you want to do this? > Click OK Button.
That's all.

Completely Remove Windows Messenger:
Method 1:
Click on Start Button > Settings > Control Panel > 


Add or Remove Programs 


And chose Add / Remove Windows components > 


A Windows components Wizard appear Scroll components window then uncheck Windows Messenger checkbox 


Click Next Button >  If the process completed successfully click finish button.
That's all.

Method 2:
Click on Start Button > Run
In the Run dialogue box type or Copy and paste the following command into run box


RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
or
Rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection BLC.Remove 128%SystemRoot%\INF\msmsgs.inf


OR



Click OK Button....

That's all.
